August 17, 2026 General Meeting at 6 pm
The McDonough County Genealogical Society’s meeting will be held on Monday, August 17th, at the Western Illinois Museum at 6 p.m. Our August meeting will deal with education in McDonough County. We encourage you to bring information, pictures and stories about schools or education in the county no matter how big or small the school was. We will share stories and memories. Our center is open 3 days a week – Our center is staffed with volunteers who will gladly assist you in your research.
- Tuesday afternoons 1pm – 4 pm
- Friday all day 10 am – 4 pm
- Saturday morning. 9 am – noon
2026 Microfilm Digitization Drive: The current board is wanting to digitize more newspapers, but we need your help!!! Each roll of microfilm cost $200.00 to digitize and we have over 10 rolls to go for this year.
If you like seeing the online newspapers on our website, please help and donate through PayPal. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, and your donations are tax-deductible. Thank you.
